Museum of Country Life

Discover how people lived in rural Ireland between 1850 and 1950 at the Museum of Country Life. Suitable for all ages, admission is free. The museum is a must-see attraction on everyone’s list. There are exhibits over four floors, including original artifacts.

Ireland’s School of Falconry

Why not visit Ireland’s oldest school of falconry, located on the grounds of Ashford Castle.

The experience gives you the chance to fly a Harris’s hawk around the castle grounds in a one-hour private hawk walk. Prior booking is essential and can be booked between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

On arrival, your instructor will introduce you to your hawk and soon after you will be flying it around the woodlands. No previous experience is necessary and the school caters for all ages and abilities.
