There was a very good trade for store cattle in Corrin Mart on Tuesday, with a 95% clearance rate, according to mart manager Sean Leahy.
“There was a lot of young cattle available at the sale this week,” he commented.
Sean said there was particularly good demand for yearling Angus and Herefords as grass buyers flocked around the ring.
Heifers weighing 350kg to 400kg sold at an average price of €1.97/kg, with average prices for heifers in the top 33% hitting €2.14/kg, while the bottom 33% had an average price of €1.80/kg.
