Kitty Swarbrigg, Cootehill, Co Cavan, who died last week, was mother of the well-known entertainers, the Swarbrigg Brothers, Jimmy and Tommie. The brothers fronted The Times back in the 1970s and enjoyed some major chart successes with their original songs, including a number one with If Ma Could See Me Now. Condolences to the Swarbrigg family.

Nathan Carter has released his latest single. Good Morning Beautiful is hitting the airwaves this week. It was produced by Peter Maher in his Middle Walk Studios in Co Tipperary. Nathan begins his UK concert tour early in March.

Autism Rapid Prompting Method Ireland will present James Kilbane in an Irish country, folk and gospel concert at the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, on 24 February at 8pm. All support will be most welcome on the night for this great organisation.

Paint The Town Tonight is the latest release from Bernie Heaney. The song was written by American writer Marty Stuart. The Kildare singer, perhaps best known for her fine rendition of 18 Wheels and A Dozen Roses, continues to make inroads on the country circuit.

The Mavericks are playing in concert at Vicar Street Theatre in Dublin on 25 February. This band enjoyed massive hits Stateside with Dance The Night Away, All You Ever Do Is Bring me Down, and Here Comes The Rain. The Florida-based band feature Cuban-American Raul Malo as lead singer. This is the first date of their European tour.

Tony Brooks continues to give many new and established artists a fine platform on his shows on Tipp FM. The former drummer with The Champions is a native of Cork but has lived in Clonmel for many years.
