An online machinery auction is set to take place on Saturday 20 February.

The auction, hosted by Laois-based Hennessy Auctioneers, is set to take place at 11am sharp at the old mart in Portlaoise (Eircode: R32 WT10).

This marks the firm’s first monthly machinery auction of 2021 following the cancellation of January’s auction as result of the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.

As usual, the auction will contain an assortment of tractors and other farm machinery.

In line with current COVID-19 guidelines, the auction will be conducted online through the Livestock Live app (LSL).

Bidders must be registered with LSL ahead of the auction and pay a refundable deposit of €250. Proxy bids on larger items will be taken before the auction.

Viewing will take place on Saturday morning from 8am, following strict COVID protocol while on-site.

Social distancing, face masks and the use of hand sanitizer is mandatory.

The catalogue is available on the LSL app.

Commission will be charged at a rate of 5% plus VAT (21%) on all lots, with a maximum fee of €1,000 plus VAT.
