The Irish eventing team landed second place after an impressive performance in the FEI Nations Cup at Houghton Hall in Britain last weekend.
The Irish trio of Joseph Murphy (Cesar V), Susie Berry (Ringwood LB), and Austin O’Connor (Colorado Blue) finished on a score of 115, while Britain claimed the win on 98.5. Australia finished third on 136.8.
The best of the Irish performers was 24-year-old Susie Berry. The Co Down native, who is based in Northampton, rode the Irish Sport Horse Ringwood LB to an overall individual 14th place after a 32.2 dressage, clear round show jumping and just 1.60 time faults cross country to finish on a final score of 33.80. Ringwood LB is by Iroko out of Seoidin Alainn (ISH) by Master Imp (TB), bred by Caitriona Mulkere.

Olympian Joseph Murphy and Cesar V produced a dressage score of 31.3, clear show jumping and picked up 9.2 time faults cross country to finish on 40.5 and place 29th overall.
Fellow Olympian, Cork’s Austin O’Connor and Colorado Blue had a dressage score of 34.3, a single fence down in show jumping and 2.4 time faults cross country to finish just behind Murphy on 40.7 in 30th position.
