Mullingar Equestrian’s annual Connemara Pony Sale and Performance Horse and Pony Sale on Saturday 7 November will go ahead as advertised.
In line with Government restrictions, sellers will drop off animals and buyers can be facilitated to inspect animals by appointment.
The auction will proceed in the normal format, but without ringside bidding in line with Level 5 protocols and agreed with the Department of Agriculture.

All bids will be made on Mullingar Equestrian’s Irish Sport Horse Auctions sales app which has been in use at all of the Mullingar sales this year. The auction will be live streamed and all bids will be made through the app whether you’re present on the day or bidding from home.
Sale attendees will be required to observe Covid-19 social distancing and general hygiene guidelines. Face masks must be worn whilst on the sales premises. Attendees must leave as soon as their business is done.
Sellers and buyers can register on IrishSportHorseAuctions.com. Entries are still open. The sales office will be happy to assist buyers needing help with registration.
Postponed sales
Connemara Pony Sales in Clifden was due to host a three-day bank holiday sale last weekend but this has been postponed until 4-6 December.
Goresbridge sport horse sales, due to take place this month will take place on 2-3 December, while the Go For Gold sale has been postponed until 7-8 December.
