On Friday 10 September, auctioneer Tom Cox will be in action in Tullamore for the Kilvilcorris Charolais production sale.

The entire entry for this sale will be from Matt and PJ Ryan, who run the 45-cow Kilvilcorris herd in Co Tipperary.

With over 30 years’ experience breeding Charolais in Ireland, the sale offers new and existing breeders an opportunity to acquire outstanding bloodlines.

AI bulls

The majority of this 30 years of breeding was done using solely AI, but recently the herd has been using the stock bull Bunratty Mike Tyson, which has bred a number of high-priced bulls in recent years.

Now the herd is around 70% AI, with sires such as Pirate, Goldstar Echo and Jupiter still used.

The sale will take place at 7pm on Friday 10 September, with catalogues and more information available from PJ Ryan on 087-247 3046.
