A c104ac farm with farmhouse and cattle yard is on the market in Co Sligo - and meeting good interest. The farm is at Doonmeegan, Ballymote and is being sold by DM Auctions by private treaty.

The guide price for this big farm is region of €900,000 and negotiations are ongoing.

The farm is well located, on the L1604 that runs between Ballymote and Castlebaldwin. It’s 4km from Ballymote with its shops and services, 7km from Castlebaldwin and it’s 20km from Sligo.

There are a number of positives to this farm.

The land at Ballymote is in one block.

First, the land is all in one block. It has lengthy frontage on the L1604 and access from two other minor roads. The farm has some of the better land in the area and, overall, is decent quality grazing land and suited for mowing. There are some good boundary hedges and internal stock fencing. There are entitlements to EU payment schemes and these can be part of the purchase if required. Estimates of value can be got from the agents.

The kitchen is modern and clean.

Next, there is a nice dormer farmhouse. It is set back about 70m from the public road and accessed through ornate gates and a gravel avenue with post and rail fencing each side. It sits on an elevated site. The house has privacy as it screened off from the road by mature trees.
