Tension

• 25 sts and 40 rows to 10cm over moss st using 3.25mm needles.

Front

  • • With 3mm needles, cast on 101 (109: 117) sts.
  • • Beg with a k row, work in st st.
  • • Work 2 rows.
  • • Eyelet row K1, * yf, k2tog; rep from * to end.
  • • Work 3 rows.
  • • Change to 3.25mm needles.
  • • Moss st row K1, * p1, k1; rep from * to end.
  • • This row forms the moss st and is repeated.
  • • Cont straight in moss st until back measures 22 (26: 30)cm from cast-on edge, ending with a wrong-side row.
  • • Dec row (right side) K1 (2: 4), [skpo, k1, k2tog] 20 (21: 22) times, k0 (2: 3). 61 (67: 73) sts.
  • • Change to 3mm needles. **
  • • K 5 rows.
  • • Cast off 8 (9: 10) sts at beg of next 2 garter st rows. 45 (49: 53) sts.
  • • Change to 3.25mm needles.
  • • Next row K3, * p1, k1; rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k3.
  • • This row forms the moss st with garter st borders.
  • • Patt 1 row.
  • • Next row K2, skpo, patt to last 4 sts, k2tog, k2.
  • • Patt 3 rows.
  • • Rep the last 4 rows 6 (7: 8) times more. 31 (33: 35) sts.
  • • Patt 1 row.
  • • Change to 3mm needles.
  • • K 5 rows.

    • Straps

  • • Next row (right side) K6, turn.
  • • Work on these 6 sts only for first strap until strap measures 25 (27: 29)cm.
  • • Cast off.
  • • With right side facing, rejoin yarn to rem sts, cast off 19 (21: 23) sts, k to end.
  • • Work on rem 6 sts for second strap until strap measures 25 (27: 29)cm.
