Just about everyone enjoys a good night of music and song, and what better reason to attend a concert than in aid of a great cause? This Saturday night, 19 January, a fundraising concert will be held in Riverside Park Hotel in Macroom, Co Cork, in aid of Walk While You Can, Fr Tony Coote, Fighting Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Playing on the night is Patrick O’Sullivan, with special guest Hugo Duncan.
Fr Tony captivated the nation last April when he walked from Donegal to Ballydehob, Co Cork, to raise awareness of and funds for MND, having just been diagnosed with the disease himself. This fundraising concert further hopes to add to Fr Tony’s campaign. The concert starts at 8pm. Tickets cost €20 and are available on the door on the night.
