Beginning on Monday 6 March, Local Enterprise Week kicks-off with a full schedule of events taking place across the country.
This nationwide initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and local authorities, has become a week in the calender when business owners - and beginners in the world of business – can reflect on their current position, as well as their achievements and areas to develop, and take a look around at what is on offer to upskill.
Spotlight events
With Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) organising a full programme of events in each county, there are five free online ‘Spotlight’ events taking place nationwide each day, Monday through to Friday.

Tuesday 7 March: You’re the Business @ Local Enterprise Week (9:30am – 1pm).
No matter where you are on your digital journey, Google is hosting this training live from its Dublin office to help get businesses online, grow online or go global.
Wednesday 8 March: Green Sustainability and Competitiveness (11am – 12:30pm).
This panel discussion aims to inform, inspire and engage owner managers and their key staff in how they can implement green technologies, processes and products to their businesses in order to be more competitive.
Thursday 9 March: Drive Cost Savings with Lean (2:30pm – 3:30pm).
The Lean business model will help you to maximize value while minimizing waste and this one hour discussion will focus on that in order to achieve ambitious growth.
Friday 10 March: Innovate for Business Success (10am – 11:30am).
Hosted by Noel Davidson of The Entrepreneurs Academy, this lively event will feature expert speakers to help you to introduce improvements through new methods, ideas or products. It will also outline the range of Government and financial supports to drive innovation in your business.
Closer to home
Locally, you can expect events that tackle areas that matter to established businesses, as well as start-ups and the budding entrepreneur. Think financial skills, raising funds, exporting and getting a more solid presence online, as well as looking towards future trends such as sustainability and digitalisation.
Locally, many events are free or with a minimal booking fee. Mindful of work schedules, events take place in the morning, through the working day and into the evening too, with plenty of workshops and one-to-one mentoring clinics taking place online as well.
