EXPERIENCE the 170th anniversary of the first flying of the Irish Tricolour, to be celebrated in a new permanent exhibition at GPO Witness History. The first-ever permanent exhibition on the Irish Flag will be launched by the Ceann Comhairle on 23 February at the GPO Witness History visitor centre in Dublin. The exhibition will include details on the history of the flag; Thomas F Meagher, who first flew it; and information on the Thomas F Meagher Foundation, which promotes pride in and respect for the Irish Flag and active citizenship. BE INSPIRED by the NI Science Festival, which will host 180 events scattered across more than 50 venues, offering a wide range of proceedings focusing on the wonders of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
