A 70ac farm in Co Longford with a derelict house and farmyard will go for online auction this month. The holding is on the outskirts of Granard town at Granardkill.

The sale is being handled by Murtagh Bros and the auction takes place on Friday 24 September at 3pm. The farm will be sold in lots and the guide price for the entire is €600,000, or €8,571/ac.

Auctioneer Dillon Murtagh says that the holding is excellent quality land and attracting plenty of interest.

The farm will be going for auction on 24 September.

“There is good road frontage and a good range of outbuildings.”

The farmyard has a modern four-bay slatted shed, a four-bay round-roofed hayshed, a cattle crush and a number of smaller sheds.

The lots will be as follows:

  • Lot 1: 7.5ac at Balnagall with the derelict residence and farmyard. This lot adjoins Granard town and Beechwood Park Housing Estate. It is zoned residential. All mains services are beside the property.
  • Lot 2: 47ac of elevated land at Granardkill. The land is in seven divisions and has road frontage.
  • Lot 3: 16ac at Gallid with road frontage.
  • Lot 4: the entire.
  • The auction will take place on the LSL platform. Pre-registration is required by 17 September.
