Merlo unveils HyperCompact telehandler Italian loader manufacturer, Merlo showcased its concept TF15.5 telehandler model, further expanding the appeal of its telehandler portfolio.

The new HyperCompact handler measures just 1.56m wide, 1.8m high and 3m long. Such dimensions will leave it perfectly suited for small buildings, poultry sheds, etc, as well as the hire sector. In terms of lift capacity, the TF15.5 is rated for 1.5t and an overall lift height of 5m.

There will be an option of fitting a compact or regular Merlo headstock. The concept machine is fitted with a 36hp Yanmar three-cylinder engine and a single speed hydrostatic transmission. A new cab has also been fitted. One of the main challenges is weight, which Merlo expects will be well below 3t. Being light enough to be towed behind 4x4s and vans tends to determine the appeal of machines in this class. It will officially launch in 2027.
