Last November, Claas welcomed a facelifted version of its Arion 660 Cmatic, the brand’s flagship Arion 600 tractor and its best-selling model to-date. The tractor in question now features the brand’s latest generation model numbering and is known as the Arion 6.190.
Changes mainly included new bonnet styling and an increased level of comfort features inside the cab.
Now Claas welcomes two more facelifted Arion 6 models – the 6.140 and 6.160 – both of which will only be offered with the firm’s Cmatic continuously variable transmission(CVT).
The three model series remain fitted with the proven 6.8l six-cylinder engine as before, delivering a maximum 145hp, 165hp and 205hp, respectively. Power boost is exclusive to the Arion 6.190 Cmatic and is now activated variably and as required, for example, during transport operations, or under PTO or hydraulic load.
Like the larger Axion series, the Arion 6 Cmatic models also benefit from the latest adaptive powertrain management system, with features such as auto load anticipation whereby the tractor picks up on repetitive tasks through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to proactively adjust engine speed and transmission before load spikes occur. The Cemos dialog operator assistance package is available as an option, again using AI and self-learning algorithms, it works with the operator to optimise output.
The newcomers also have the option of a new premium driver’s seat, with massage functions, semi-active suspension and seat climate control. There is also a new multimedia system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB+ radio. Dynamic steering is available as an option, halving the number of rotations needed to go from one steering stop to the other.
Warranty now covers the engine, transmission and axle for five years or 5,000 hours, with the maxi care protect package increasing this to eight years or 8,000 hours.
