Local Massey Ferguson dealership, Gordon Hegarty and Sons will present a number of machines from its range of franchises at Grass 2026. The multi-depot dealer will showcase a range of Massey Ferguson tractors to suit all customer types, including the latest 5M and 5S models alongside the 6S, 7S and 8S models.
In addition, Hegartys will exhibit a Massey Ferguson RB3130 F Xtracut fixed-chamber round baler alongside a Massey Ferguson TD1310X trailed tedder and Massey Ferguson RK662 twin-rotor centre delivery rake.
The baler is fitted with a 2.35m, five-tine bar, camless pickup. Behind the rotor sits the Xtracut knife bank which, depending on the model, offers up to 25 knives for the shortest chop length possible.
The RB range of balers features Massey’s two stage Hydroflexcontrol blockage protection system. In terms of controls, the RB series is available with the basic E-Link control units, the larger E-Link Pro monitor or Isobus controls.
The TD1310X is Massey’s flagship trailed tedder model with 10 rotors, capable of covering 12.5m at a time. Massey’s design builds on the proven Lely Lotus of old, and features the popular double-hooked tine. Each rotor is equipped with seven tine arms, each fitted with double-hook tines.
The RB3130 F Xtracut is available with up to 25 knives.
Meanwhile, the RK662 twin-rotor rake offers a working width of 5.8m to 6.6m and a swath width which can be set between 1.2m and 1.8m wide. Each rotor is equipped with 10 tine arms, all fitted with four double tines.
Alongside Massey’s patented steering system, each rotor bogie has been designed to offer the jet effect, whereby the bogies leading wheels are always first to lift and last to touch down when lifting/lowering the rotors to prevent tines penetrating the ground.
Representing the Bunning brand will be the Lowlander 105 model rear-discharge spreader. The 105 offers a maximum carrying capacity of 12,600kg or 10.4m3 (level with sides). With a spread width up to 16m, the Lowlander 105 comes as standard with a 130mm square axle with 406 x 120 brakes.
