New Holland will be launching the new CR combine harvester with the Varifeed 41ft grain header at this year’s Cereals 2014 event in England next month. The header width of 12.5m was chosen because many large farms use 36m-wide tram lines in their fields. With a welded frame design, it claims to add even more capacity to one of the highest-output machines in the New Holland range.

The adjustment range for the knife in longitudinal direction is 575mm and adjustment is performed electro-hydraulically from the cab to suit all harvesting conditions. It is adapted to use with optional side knives for harvesting rapeseed. The header is equipped with four, wide Autofloat sensing pads that claim to enable its height and lateral inclination to adjust automatically.
