An original 2007 John Deere 7430 Premium tractor with 7,203 hours, complete with front linkage and new tyres topped Micheal Doyle Auctions recent home auction, selling for €53,200 plus commission.
Doyle’s collective sale was held in conjunction with a contractor dispersal sale on behalf of Pat Phelan, Gowran, Co Kilkenny, on Wednesday 20 May. With 129 lots going under the hammer, a total clearance rate of over 80% was achieved. “With an audience of over 18,000 people, we had bidders tune in from all corners of the country as well as mainland UK.
“Demand remains strong for all well-maintained equipment, regardless of age. Low-hour, sought-after models continue to attract significant interest, with prices reflecting this. The John Deere 7430 was a prime example, with bidders tuning in from as far away as Wales,” explained Micheal Doyle.
Other highlights included a 2025 unused Broughan 26ft multipurpose 17t low-loader which sold for €22,000. A 2009 Massey Ferguson 6480 Dyna 6 model with 5,500 hours on the clock sold for €21,500 +VAT and a 28ft Broughan livestock trailer sold for €19,000.

A McConnel PA6070 hedge cutter sold for €12,000 +VAT. A second Kverneland NG-S 101 power harrow and Accord S drill sold for €12,000 +VAT. A 32ft Gillespie bale trailer sold for €11,200 +VAT.
A 2019 Krone EasyCut R280 CV side-mounted mower sold for €7,300+VAT. A 2018 Valtra T234 with 6,220 hours was bid to €54,000 and went unsold. A Massey Ferguson 6470, complete with front linkage and 7,500 hours, was bid to €23,200, but went unsold as well. Only lots listed as ‘+VAT’ were subject to 23% VAT.
Commission was charged at 10% for items up to €1,000, 5% for items over €1,000,with a maximum charge of €2,000 +VAT per lot.
