Argo Tractors Ireland used the Ploughing as a platform to showcase the firm’s new Landini Smart Cab to the Irish public for the first time. The new, roomier Smart Cab is available on the firm’s 7 Series tractors. It benefits from more headroom and also gains an improved finish and control layout. The standard mechanical cab suspension can be upgraded for a new semi-active cab suspension system. Inside the cab there is 14% more volume, resulting in an increased headroom height of 76mm.

Visibility has also been improved thanks to a 14% increase in glass coverage. The Smart Cab claims to be a quieter working environment. To the rear of the cab, there is now a larger rear window, new rear mirrors and a new fender design, with new LED lights and fender controls for the rear PTO and lift, as well as hydraulic services.

The standard 12” DSM Plus (Data Screen Manager Plus) touchscreen monitor is now paired with a second 12” digital dashboard. This screen is located centrally in front of the driver, where the traditional tractor dash is placed. This duo integrates Landini’s newly developed in-house management software for in-field operations and remote diagnostics.
