McHale first introduced its range of variable chamber balers several years ago and over time it has grown to include an array of models across the V6 and V8 ranges. Ahead of the 2026 season, McHale will be launching the next generation of variable chamber balers in the form of the V6-II and V8-II.
IsoBus Compatibility
The new McHale V6750-II and V8950-II are now IsoBus compatible as standard. McHale IsoBus machines can be plugged into any IsoBus tractor connection and operated via the tractor’s own terminal in the cab. If the user wishes to operate an IsoBus controlled machine with a tractor that is not IsoBus compatible, they can do so through the McHale Iso-Play terminals – available as an extra. An additional tractor wiring loom is required for this.
Tractor implement management
The next generation of V6-II and V8-II machines with IsoBus are TIM ready, to allow the baler to control certain functions of the tractor for improved operator comfort. McHale control terminals also benefit from full IsoBus AUX-N compatibility. Commonly used machine functions can be assigned to an auxiliary key on the terminal, assigned to the tractor IsoBus joystick, or assigned to an aftermarket IsoBus joystick.
Load cell bale shape indicators
Load cell bale shape indicators are fitted on all V6-II and V8-II models for more accurate and responsive measurement of the bale shape. These indicators are fitted on each door lock to measure the bale load on each side and displays accurate bale shape feedback to the operator. Meanwhile, active density control electronically varies the density pressure regulation at predetermined points of the baling process. This results in increased bale density due to higher loads exerted on the bale at the optimum stages of bale formation.
Profi-Flo pick-up
The range now benefits from the Profi-Flow pickup, which comes from the Fusion 4. Buyers can choose between a five-tine bar cam track pick-up or, the optional, six-tine bar camless pickup, which has also increased in width. A new tapered feed channel encourages the crop to flow from the pickup, towards the rotor and into the bale chamber. The pickup features a heavier driveline to reduce chain loading. McHale also introduced the adaptive intake feature, which allows the intake area to automatically adjust up and down to changes in material flow.
Other new features
Quick attach wheels are fitted on all machines in the V6-II and V8-II range. By pulling the lever, wheels can be quickly fitted and removed to the pick-up without the need for any pins. The range has a new larger oil tank with an 8l capacity for increased maintenance intervals. It’s also equipped with a high current additive control output. This controls a crop additive applicator on the IsoBus software on all V6750-II and V8950-II, which can also be equipped with a PTO speed sensor for more accurate additive application, and a PTO running time counter, which will avoid the wastage of additive.
Optional features
Depending on machine specification, there are a number of additional features available for IsoBus machines, including independent camera monitor to accompany Iso-Play 6, headland management kit for more accurate additive application, internal panel lighting to aid operation in poorly lit conditions and bale moisture recording functionality to show a live value percentage of moisture in the crop being baled.
