Pöttinger’s latest results show a turnover figure of around €461 million for the 2024/25 financial year, ending 31 July, down 6% on 2023/24 when turnover totalled €491 million.
For context, during the years of 2021/22 and 2022/23 – a time Pöttinger described as an ‘extreme growth’ phase – turnover amounted to €506 million and €641 million respectively.
Despite the multitude of global challenges, Pöttinger noted that it is pleased to have increased its market share in the grassland equipment segment over the year just past. In total, the grassland segment of the company now accounts for 55% of total sales.
Around 57% of machinery sales are achieved in Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Ukraine and Switzerland.
The export ratio remains stable at around 90%. The firm outlined that key sales markets such as Germany and France are slowly beginning to stabilise, with some countries showing significant growth in sales in many segments.
Pöttinger now employs 2,100 staff – 1,200 of which are based in Austria, 400 in the Czech Republic, around 200 in Germany, and another 80 in Italy. The remaining 200 work at its subsidiaries around the world.
