Weidemann Ireland, the Irish distributor of the German-built Weidemann loader range, will debut the latest 90 Series pivot steer loader range at this year’s National Ploughing Championships, alongside a broad selection of other models from the series.
Fresh-faced
The new 90 series is made up of four models – 2090, 2090T, 3090 and 3090T. The new generation combines a redesigned platform with advanced operator assistance systems, improved visibility and greater productivity according to Weidemann.
One of the more notable innovations is the new Dynamic Loading Assistance (DLA) package, which includes automatic bucket return, automatic bucket rollback, bucket shake, lift-height limitation and, on telescopic models, automatic boom retraction.
Additional features include object detection using ultrasonic sensors, rear-view camera integration, intelligent LED work lighting, adjustable hydraulic sensitivity and a completely redesigned Best View premium cab with a 7-inch display, multifunction joystick and improved operator ergonomics.

Power comes from new Rehlko engines, matched to an electronically controlled ecDrive transmission. The 2090 (5,620kg, 3.24m) and 2090T (3,970kg, 4.30m) models will feature a 1.8l engine with 68 hp. Meanwhile, a larger 2.5l 75hp engine will be fitted as standard in the 3090 (6,660kg, 3.39m) and 3090T (4,840kg, 4.98m).
The smaller models feature an 85l/min hydraulic pump while the 3000 series models feature a 95l/min pump. The ecDrive transmission is offered standard with a top speed of 20km/h which can be optioned to 30km/h or 40km/h.
Four different driving modes have been implemented especially for the ecDrive (Electronic Controlled Drive): automatic mode (100% efficiency) and Eco mode (reduced engine speed for economical and quiet driving) are standard.

Other models set to be on display include the 1260LP, 4060T, 5080T pivot steer loaders and the T4512, T6025, T7042 telehandler models.
In recent years, the six model 60 series has been fully revamped, sharing similar styling to the new 90 series. On display will be the 4060T. It offers a maximum lift height of 5.04m and maximum lift capacity of 3,700kg. Under the bonnet is a 75hp four-cylinder Kohler engine and a dual-range ecDrive hydrostatic transmission.
