At the recent Pre-Agritechnica Nordic event, Valtra tractors chief Jari Rantjarvi said that the company will be launching a new range of smaller A Series tractors to compete at the lower end of the market, at this week’s Innovagri event in France. These tractors will be called the Small A Series models and will be based on the Hattat range and built by Hattat in Turkey.
The smallest model is the A53, which offers 50hp. The A63 model has an intercooled turbo engine that produces 68hp. The biggest model is the A73, which offers 75hp. All of the tractors come with Valtra’s 12+12R transmission with synchronised shuttle and creeper gear.
The pto has two speeds and the rear linkage is operated mechanically.

Valtra has a manufacturing arrangement with Hattat since 2003 and has built Valtra tractors in Turkey since 2008 with Hattat. Hattat later built its own A Series tractors on that Valtra experience.
These new tractors will be fitted with the Perkins three-cylinder engines.
The Hattat range is imported to Ireland by Billy O’Dwyer Farm Machinery from Castletown, Moyne, Thurles, Co Tipperary. The Valtra range, sold through dealers in Ireland, is part of the AGCO Group which also owns Massey Ferguson and Fendt.
