Why did you set up NearlySisters?
We both found ourselves restricted from work in the first lockdown, so with time on our side and our love of all things Irish, we embraced an idea we’d been toying with for some time and NearlySisters online gifting company was born in August 2020.
How does it work?
We source the best Irish artisan earth friendly products that we know people will love.
We specialise in both corporate and personal gifting and our aim is to provide an outstanding, hassle-free service. We have a large range of pre-curated gift bundles on our website, with various price points to choose from, or alternatively “you” can choose “your” own products.
We include a personalised message and everything is wrapped in eco-friendly packaging and delivered to the recipient.
Corporate clients give us their budget and specifications and we tailor make the gift bundle to meet their needs eg branded products and packaging/gift cards.
What is it about your business that brings you joy?
A thoughtful gift can really brighten up and bring joy to someone’s day and we love being part of the process.

What are your plans for 2022?
We’re currently working with a designer to further develop the NearlySisters brand and expand the business globally.
What is the best advice you would give another start-up business?
Take the first step and just begin! It’s a lot of hard work, but very rewarding. We genuinely didn’t know where this journey would lead us, but we’re grateful for where we are and excited about what the future holds.
