Carrigaline Macra hosted several fundraising initiatives at the annual Cork Summer Show this year, raising funds of over €1,200 for Marymount Hospice. Carrigaline Macra hosted several events, including hook-a-duck, facepainting, milk-a-cow, crisps in a tractor cab, an information stand, photo booth, father’s day challenge, free high-visibility jackets and holly saplings and a flash mob dance routine.

Ballylanders Macra, Limerick, presented €300 raised by the club through their Irish night and school’s quiz to the founder of Share a Dream, Shay Kinsella. Now in its 23rd year, the Share a Dream Foundation has worked with thousands of children North and South to help their dreams come true and give them a break away from hospitals, painful treatments, loneliness and fear.
