Members of Seandun Macra who went night-time kayaking at Reen Pier with the Atlantic Sea Kayaking Centre.

On Sunday, 25 June, Macra members from all corners of Seandun travelled to Reen Pier in west Cork to go night-time kayaking with the Atlantic Sea Kayaking Centre.
Kayakers set out at 9pm and were on the water to witness the sun set. The experience is well-known throughout the country where participants are treated to the astonishing bioluminescence in the water as plankton makes the water appear as though it is sparkling.
The adventure was hugely enjoyed by those who made the journey to west Cork. Thanks to all who travelled and also to outgoing Seandun sports officer Cormac Lehane who organised the event as his last act in the role.
