It’s not just the Tullamore Show that is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016. So too is the Young Members Association (YMA) with its national calf show finals.
The two-day event, held at Kilkenny mart, drew a large crowd to compete across a number of handling and calf classes.
Securing the top spot in the handling category and taking home the Barrett family perpetual trophy was Paul Murphy, Co Cork.

Reserve honours went to Rachel Corley of the Breffni/Oriel club, while honourable mention again went to a Cork club man, Kevin Smith.
In the calf section, Dalevalley Dorman Tracey ET, owned by Roy Cromie and exhibited by Andrea Rafferty, took top honours, while Beechrow Damion Twain from Michael Booth took up the reserve who was ably shown by Rory Timlin.
Honourable mention in the calf section went to Hallow Mccutchen Twizzle from Philip Jones and handled by Will Jones.
