There is no shortage of literary talent in Macra na Feirme and this was confirmed on Friday 29 January, as the winners of the Macra creative writing competition were announced.
Peter Farrell of East Laois Macra won the short story category with After Milking, while Liam Cronin of Shannonside Macra won the poetry category with Green Shoots.
The winning entries are featured on this week's Irish Country Living Podcast, as well as an interview with both writers.
