The Dealer notes with interest that two senior staff members have announced their intention to leave Macra na Feirme.
Press officer of a number of years, Aoife Helly, announced two weeks ago that she will depart the young farmer organisation to look after the press side of the National Association of General Practitioners. That news came two weeks ago.
Last week, long-standing CEO Edmond Connolly informed the association that he too was leaving the second floor of the Farm Centre. Connolly has been the chief with Macra since 2007. As I gather, he is taking a job nearer his base in Tipperary.

Despite pressure on Connolly in the wake of that calendar debacle, there is nothing untoward in either departure. The Dealer wishes them well.
