The Dealer loves a good rebrand and a new name in dairy processing is to be revealed next week with Kerry Co-op to announce the new name of its co-op.
As part of the terms of the deal agreed by the co-op to buy the processing facilities off Kerry Group back in 2024, the name Kerry will be dropped from the new moniker.
While this will be a big change for suppliers and the people of Kerry, The Dealer got thinking of potential new names that could do the business.

Will the co-op go the Tirlán route and go Gaeilge on us? Or will it go Latin like Aurivo? What about Kingdom Co-op? Báinne Ciarraí might be too simple in Irish and would sort of exclude its now-expanded supplier base outside of the core Co Kerry area. Will the word Munster be worked in there?
The Dealer isn’t sure what to put his money on, but he looks forward to the unveiling next week.
