The former chief executive of Agri Aware, Dr Vanessa Woods, has scooped the inaugural RDS sustainable agri startup award for 2022.
Three years ago, Vanessa started her own communications consultancy business which aims to translate science into simple and accurate messages to consumers. She has also written two science-based books for children, which are in every primary school in Ireland.
Vanessa was presented with the RDS silver medal by RDS president Professor Owen Lewis.
