I hear that the Agri Aware CEO Deirdre O’Shea is leaving the organisation and intends to step down in February.
She is heading off to go see the world, I understand.
O’Shea has had a high-profile time over the last three years as CEO, often flying the flag for women in agriculture among other things.
She started the successful Agri Aware open day initiative on the May bank holiday weekend and led the review of the organisation, the recommendations of which will soon be made public. I’m told the search is on for a new CEO and that Agri Aware is looking to fill the role soon.
