Ornua’s director of communications Jeanne Kelly has joined to board of Animal Health Ireland (AHI), the private-public partnership responsible for administering livestock health programmes such as those in play for BVD, IBR and Johne's.
Kelly’s role at the processor is to safeguard the reputation of Ornua and its brands, including Kerrygold.
The new appointee is also responsible for communications inside Ornua’s business operations worldwide.
Kelly recently concluded her term as a director of AgriAware.
“Jeanne’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry will be a great asset to AHI as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our stakeholders – farm families, vets, industry and consumers,” AHI chair James Lynch said on the appointment.
“I look forward to working with Jeanne as we continue our work to contribute to the sustainability of the animal health sector.”
Kelly herself stated that she is looking forward to working with AHI during her term.
“Animal health and welfare are integral to the continued success of Irish agriculture, both nationally and globally,” she said.
