There is good interest in two holdings outside Borrisoleigh, Co Tipperary, that are going for auction.

One is 21.8ac, the other 65.25ac, both are non-residential and are being sold by Thomas V Ryan Auctioneers. Both are being sold on behalf of the representatives of the late Margaret Hanley.

The 21.8ac block is at Castlequarter, only half a mile from Borrisoleigh. It will be offered in lots. Lot 1 is c4.18ac in grass and close to the Thurles to Nenagh road. Lot 2 is c17.64ac with road frontage on to the Thurles to Nenagh road. It is in grass and has a private water supply and a roadside loading area. Lot 3 will be the entire. The guide price is €380,000 or €17,430/ac.

The 65.25ac at Glenbreda, Borrisoleigh is in one block.

This holding is described by auctioneer Thomas V Ryan as being “one of the best compact holdings to be brought to the market in recent years”.

The larger farm is at Glenbreda, about 8km from Borrisoleigh. The land is in one block and described as mostly good quality. The guide price is €500,000 or €7,660/ac.
