    €17,505/ac paid in hectic auction

    Eoin Dillon recently sold 43.53ac at Killowney, Ballymackey in a hectic auction. The farm was guided at €550,000. Bidding opened at €500,000 and was then quickly brought to €650,000 at which point it was declared on the market.

    After more bidding the farm was knocked down to a local dairy farm – in the room – for €762,000 or €17,505/ac. In all there were 43 bids from three bidders in the room and three online. The sale was over in 14 minutes.
