The Garda Traffic Corps in Bandon, Co Cork, pulled over the driver of a trailer on 20 December regarding a bale of straw being carried in the trailer.
As it was the driver’s first offence, the Gardaí cautioned the driver and ensured that he secured the load before continuing on his journey.
A tweet from the incident on the official An Garda Síochána twitter page showed a picture of the trailer in question and read, “Bandon Traffic Corps – Trailer was missing a light or two & load was unsecured. Driver might get bale....
Unsecured or inadequately secured loads can injure & even kill people. #RoadSafety”
