There is a €60 price difference in weanling ration around the country, an Irish Farmers Journal price survey on beef and dairy ration prices has found.

With reports of strong meal sales, the lowest quote received for 16% bulk weanling ration was €228/t in Longford, while the highest was in Tipperary at €285/t.

Prices varied also between €5 and €15 for delivered meal.

A similar variation was present when it came to a finishing ration, generally around 14% to 15% protein.

Prices as high as €274/t were quoted in Mayo, with a low of €220/t quoted in Offaly.
