A 60ac farm is going up for auction in three lots in Co Laois early next month. The land is at Ballyroan and will be sold by Hennessy Auctioneers by public auction and also online on LSL. This is an executor sale.

The land is good quality and there is a disused two-storey house on the property which is in need of full refurbishment, and some farm buildings. Mature hedging bounds the land and there is water supplied.

The farm is in three separate portions, although these are not far apart. It will therefore be offered in three lots.

  • The biggest is lot 1, 41ac in the townland of Ballyruin. It in turn will be subdivided and offered in three sub lots. Lot 1a will be the entire 41ac, complete with the house and yard. Lot 1b will be the house and yard on 13ac. Lot 1c will be the balance of 23ac. The guide price for the entire is €475,000.
  • Lot 2 is 11.75ac, also at Ballyruin. The guide price is €120,000.
  • Lot 3 is 7.25ac at Cashel, Ballyroan. Its guide price is €80,000.
  • The land goes for auction on Friday 3 September at 3pm.
