A Dublin restaurant sold a beef sandwich for €90 this week.

Hush in Rathmines bought in 2kg of Wagyu beef and made 10 steak sandwiches, selling nine of them at €90 a pop.

A back of the envelope calculation says that’s upwards of €430/kg of beef excluding whatever else was in the sandwich.

My jaw is still on the ground, given I sent bullocks to the factory this week and got a measly €3.80/kg for them. Maybe I’m in the wrong business.
