Robert Mizzell and The Country Kings will provide the music for a big fundraising night in support of Fintown Harps in the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey, on Friday, 29 November. Support will be provided by Donegal’s popular Cufflinks band. The dance starts at 10pm.

Mike Denver and his band are playing for the Christmas Dance in the Vienna Woods Hotel, Glanmire, on Wednesday, 4 December. Red Hurley tops the bill at the same venue for a Christmas party night on 12 December, while Red will headline another Christmas show in the Rhu Glenn Country Club on Saturday, 14 December.

Manchester-based Pat Jordan has released a new album. The title track is You Waltzed So Softly Through My Mind. The Wicklow native has included Blue Kilkenny Eyes and a host of other favourite songs in the collection.

Sorry Lost Its Meaning is the new single from Marcus Prouse. The song is a co-write with Gill Diamond. The recording features the musicianship of Conor Brady, Paul Byrne and Niall Lawlor.

Michael English is set to return to the dancing circuit after many years doing concert shows. A new band is currently in the process of being formed and Michael is expected to perform his first dance dates in January.

Ann Kirrane will present her own Christmas show in The Mall Theatre, Tuam, on 14 December at 8.30pm. Ann is the daughter of legendary concertina player, Chris Droney.

Mary Darcy from Carlow, formerly of Twos Company, and Willie O’Keeffe from Cork, are now doing a series of shows together around Ireland and the UK. They are proving very popular.
