Kverneland Group Ireland will use this year’s National Ploughing Championships to launch two new additions to its grass machinery range on the Irish market. The new Kverneland Tactus twin-rotor rake and Tersus 4000 flail chopper will make their Irish debut at the event.
Alongside the two new arrivals, the stand will feature a broad selection of machinery aimed at the Irish farming systems, covering grass, tillage and crop establishment, crop care, feeding and hedge-cutting, from the Kverneland, McConnel and Siloking brands.
New Tactus and Tersus
Taking centre stage on the grass side will be the new Kverneland Tactus range of twin-rotor rakes, with working widths from 6.4m to 7.8m across the Tactus 2072 and 2078 models.
The new-generation rakes feature Kverneland’s TerraLink Plus ground contour-following system, allowing the rotors to closely follow changing field terrain.

The Tactus range also uses Kverneland’s DUO tine system, with curved 9.5mm tines designed to lift and move the crop, while reducing soil contamination and helping to produce an even swath. Also making its Irish debut will be the new Kverneland Tersus 4000 flail-chopper range, designed for work in grass, crop residues and biomass. The Tersus 4000 is available in three working widths, from 2.35m to 3.25m, with 500mm of hydraulic side-shift fitted as standard across the range, for working along field boundaries, headlands and around obstacles.
Another new addition to the grass lineup will be the Kverneland 2800F II front-mounted mower, which was introduced to the market earlier this year. The newcomers will be joined by a number of established machines from Kverneland’s grass range, covering mowing, tedding and baling.

Tillage side
On the tillage side, the firm will have a strong showing of 3m machinery, with a range of machines suited to a broad mix of Irish tillage and mixed farming operations.
The renowned Kverneland ES plough will feature alongside the 3m Enduro tine cultivator and 3m Qualidisc Farmer disc cultivator. The 3m Saturia one-pass will also be on display. Crop care will be represented by an Exacta CL Geospread fertiliser spreader and iXter mounted sprayer.
Siloking and McConnel
The Group will display both the TrailedLine twin and single-tub feeders from the Siloking range. On the McConnel side, three models from the Power Arm hedge-cutter range will be on display, with the 5045, 5562 and 6572T all set to feature.
