The Burren in Bloom festival celebrates the arrival of the world-famous annual wildflowers to the unique landscape.
Running from 30 April to 18 May, venues across the Burren will be hosting talks, walks and cultural events to appeal to all ages. The dawn chorus, a family art event and a photo competition are among the highlights of the festival, organised by the Burrenbeo trust. Our hedgerows as pharmacies, Burren butterflies and coastal blooms are among the topics to be discussed. Speakers include Sadie Chowen of The Burren Perfumery, geologist Dr Eamon Doyle and Zoe Devlin of www.wildflowersofireland.net. Download the brochure and find out more details at www.burreninbloom.com.
