The Bray One Act Drama Festival is returning to centre stage in the Wicklow town later this month.

The festival will take place from Tuesday 24 January to Saturday 28 January at the Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre. A mix of one act plays will take to the stage, performed by both newcomers and seasoned performers.

The plays lined up for the festival include a mix of comedies and dramas written by some lesser-known and some acclaimed playwrights. Tuesday 24 is a dedicated Youth Night, with three groups from St. Andrew’s College, Bray School of Speech and Drama, and Templecarrig School performing from 7.30pm onwards.

Other groups performing at the festival include Delgany D.S and Tallaght Theatre.

The festival will welcome back its adjudicator Anna Walker as well as live audiences to the shows after a two-year hiatus.

Tickets for the events cost €16 and all proceeds from the festival go to charitable causes.
