We have seen a little more exporter activity for good-quality heifers in the past week also, which has helped keep a good floor under the prices. Farmer demand has lifted slightly also, with more farmers visibly bidding on stores and weanlings. The store trade has been quite strong also. Like weanlings, it is the better-quality cattle that are the strongest trade. Plainer types continue to be a difficult trade, with weak buyer activity for these types.
