Chief Brexit negotiator for the European Union, Michel Barnier, will meet with the Irish Government and visit the border with Northern Ireland.

Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier to visit Ireland this week

Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, will visit Ireland on Thursday and Friday, addressing the Dáil and Seanad, and meeting Government. The former French agriculture minister will also meet with IFA president Joe Healy, who said “Michel Barnier displayed a good understanding of our issues when we last met”. Barnier will also visit Lough Egish Food Park with Minister Charlie Flanagan and Commissioner Phil Hogan.
