Teagasc open days were supposed to begin in ernest on 1 March with Salesian Agricultural College in Pallaskenry, Kildalton on 2 March and Mountbellow on 7 March. However, due to Storm Emma and the red warning issued, both Salesian College and Kildalton were postponed. Kildalton will now take place on 16 March whilst the Pallaskenry open day will take place on 13 March.

Other open days

The other Teagasc open days are just about to take place in the coming three weeks. The new dates for the open days are:

7 March: Mountbellew spring open day tours from 10am-3pm.

8 March: Ballyhaise Agricultural College 10am-1pm.

8 March: College of Amenity Horticulture, Botanic Gardens, 2pm-4.30pm.

9 March: Clonakilty Agricultural College, tours from 11am-2pm.

13 March: Salesian College Pallaskenry, tours from 10am-2pm.

14 March: Gurteen Agricultural College, Co Tipperary, tours from 10.30am

16 March: Kildalton Agricultural College open day

Over 1,000 people attended the open days last October, with all colleges noting good interest across all colleges.
