Hoping for an opportunity to explore and discover more of our idyllic country later this year, we polled our members on Facebook to discover which rural historical and cultural areas of interest Macra members have visited the most. The Cliffs of Moher came out on top as most visited by our members, with 72% of those voting to have previously visited.

This was followed closely by Bunratty Castle and the Dingle Peninsula. Other places of interest included Blarney Castle, Aillwee Caves and Croagh Patrick. What’s on your bucket list?

This month, Macra members were also asked to send in pictures within their 5km area.

We had some angelic entries highlighting just how beautiful our immediate surroundings can be. Here is just a snippet of some of the pictures we received – thanks again to all who entered.
Although unable to celebrate together, Macra members held a virtual St Patrick’s Day parade this year.
