On Thursday last (22 November), the Cooney Furlong Machinery Company held an official open evening at its new premises on the Old Dublin Road, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

It is estimated that in excess of 2,000 machinery enthusiasts from all over the country flocked to the southeast to witness in excess of €4.5m worth of machinery on display.

The dealership had a mouth-watering display of machinery including Case IH tractors, Krone, Vaderstad and Amazone equipment. A total of 47 tractors were on display. These included 37 new tractors ranging in power from 100hp to in excess of 600hp. The standout tractor was the Case IH Quadtrac 620, Ireland’s largest tractor.

The evening marked the opening of the state-of-the-art premises built on a 1.5ac site.

The building includes a main showroom and offices, an outside display area (half roofed), a tractor workshop where up to 10 tractors can be simultaneously worked on, with a Puisi touchscreen fluid dispensing system and a two-storey parts store.

Ten employees will work on the site.
