Final offers are being invited for a nice field at Loughaderra, near Castlemartyr in Co Cork. It is 39ac in size and one of the biggest fields around Castlemartyr.

It’s also on a vein of well-regarded, quality land. The holding is being sold by CCM Property Network.

The field has frontage on two roads, one being the Two Mile Inn to Mogeely road, the other a local road connecting back to the N25 Cork to Waterford route.

This is bare land – there are no buildings, no water, no electricity and no payments entitlements. However, the good soil and level nature of the field will catch farmers’ interest.

The land is currently in pasture. Midleton is 7km away while Castlemartyr is less than 2km.

CCM’s Eamonn O’Brien said that the land was put on the market in February, and attracted immediate inquiries and the first bid within the week. At time of publishing, the current offer is over €16,000/ac and CCM intend to close the sale on 25 March.
