Dairygold sets January milk price

The largest co-op in the south of the country has decided to keep its milk price unchanged.

Dairygold's milk price remains set at 34.15c/l, excluding VAT, for January supplies, including a 0.5c/l quality bonus.

This follows similar decisions by Aurivo, Glanbia and Kerry earlier this month. Lakeland was the first major processor to cut its price by removing a 1c/l butter bonus for January.

Market signals from the Global Dairy Trade and Ornua's Purchase Price Index have pointed towards stability in recent weeks after a drop earlier in the year.
